Grand Rapids, MI – Service Express has been recognized as a 2020 Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press for the tenth consecutive year, but this is the first time the company has been first on the list.
The company rankings are based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, a provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization: including alignment, execution and connection.
“We live and breathe our people-powered culture at Service Express,” says Ron Alvesteffer, President and CEO. “Although this year has been challenging for many, we have been trying our best to create connections and camaraderie during this time. We’re incredibly proud to provide excellent service for our customers along with lifting each other up along the way.”
Along with their customer-centric philosophy, Service Express works hard to create a welcoming, unique and thriving culture for its employees. As the average person spends roughly one-third of their life at work, Service Express focuses on making the most of that time and focuses on helping their people achieve their personal, professional and financial goals. Since 1993, Service Express has been recognized by Inc., Fortune, Forbes, Detroit Free Press and others.
“In times of great change, it is more important than ever to maintain a connection among employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward based on real-time insights into what works best for your organization. The Top Workplaces program can be that positive outcome your company can rally around in the coming months to celebrate leadership and the importance of maintaining an employee-focused culture, even during challenging times.”
