Service Express UK has a brand new vacancy for an experienced FP&A Manager to join the finance department. This is an exciting time to join the business with double digit growth and a lot of M&A activity which will look to position us centrally in Europe.

Reporting into the Finance Director, this is an opportunity to work across the business with the leadership team to provide analytical insight to inform commercial decision making and support the continued growth! Initially this position will be supported by one finance analyst but the long-term opportunity to grow and develop the team must be kept in sight!

What are some of the things you will do?

  • Support the Finance Director in M&A activities, including due diligence, identifying potential cost synergies and onboarding of newly acquired entities
  • Develop accounting and consolidation processes for newly acquired group companies
  • Support the Finance Director and Financial Controller with the annual budgeting process and mid-year reforecasting
  • Provide analysis on the company’s competitors and suppliers
  • Providing proactive, insightful, high quality analysis to support decision making, in the context of wider business implications, which can be translated into comprehensive materials/commentary for the board
  • Support business growth by producing analysis on salesperson performance vs target, pipeline conversation, customer churn and renewals.
  • Partner with department Leads and support them in commercial decision making and in producing business cases for spend, such as recruitment and capex

What you will bring?

  • ACA (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commercially astute and technically strong with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Ability to present complicated data in a concise and digestible manner
  • Ability to talk to non-financial specialists about complicated financial concepts in an understandable way
  • Highly systems literate with Advanced Excel skills
  • Background in a related industry is desirable but not essential
