Service Express is seeking a motivated Software Application Developer Intern for our 2021 Internship Program.  We are looking for candidates who want to jump-start their software development career with a great company and be exposed to a variety of software solutions. We want to help you continue to grow and develop your technical skills!

What does a Software Developer Intern do?

In this role, you will get an opportunity to:

  • Support and improve software solutions within the Agile methodology in a team-focused environment
  • Build scalable and maintainable solutions with a focus on web systems, and related technologies
  • Work with a software development mentor to learn and grow your coding skills
  • Attend regular technical training sessions to continually learn and develop technical expertise
  • Partner with software developers, digital product team, and business users to achieve successful solutions

Are you a fit for this role?

An ideal candidate:

  • A current student in their junior or senior year focused on software development 
  • Open to working part-time during Spring/Fall/Winter Semesters
  • Able to work effectively in a remote setting
  • Experience with a programming language or framework (PHP, GoLang)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of MS SQL is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced environment


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Scrum or other Agile methods and practices
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles REST and APIs
  • Front-end web development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Vue.js
