Enjoy over 20 virtual sessions
iAdmin sessions cover a wide range of topics including backup and recovery, cloud, OS upgrades, IBM hardware and more. We’ve listed a few sessions below for a sneak peek at what to expect.
This session will explore the bad, ugly and ugliest of IBM i security misconfigurations so you can learn from others’ misfortunes.
This overflowing session (so big, it needs 90 minutes!) helps ensure every IBM i administrator and operator has a backpack full of valuable tips to use post-event. From command line to shell to IBM Navigator for i, Steve will sprint through these tips at a pace of at least two tips per minute for at least 150 tips! This session is updated quarterly with new and relevant information so that you don’t miss good foundational tips while keeping pace with IBM updates.
When virtualizing IBM Power Systems, you have two primary choices for the hosting environment: VIOS and IBM i. Each offers strengths and weaknesses. In this session, we’ll review more than 35 comparison points, covering technical capabilities, usability, visual items, costs and requirements for each host. Attend to select your choice for a hosting partition or confirm that you’re on the right track.
PTFs and OS upgrades are the two most significant ways we can keep our systems up to date. Applying them can also be the most impactful, disruptive event for your system and certainly the most stressful for the admin. This session will introduce the topics of system updates and maintenance and IBM’s approach. We’ll discuss why keeping current is so important in the modern era and how to plan a proper cadence for system updates.
By implementing the right hybrid cloud capabilities in your IBM Power environment, your business can improve efficiency, reduce costs and prepare to put AI technologies to work. We’ll look at management tools and automation to help deliver greater flexibility for IBM Power, including using AI models and preparing to deploy some of them on the Power infrastructure.
