We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to provide leadership, guidance, and training to our accounts payable team while ensuring the achievement of key goals and the highest level of vendor and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

 

Business Acumen & Operational Excellence:

 

• Oversee the accounts payable systems and communication channels to ensure smooth processing and exceptional service for both internal and external stakeholders
• Develop, implement, and refine accounts payable policies and procedures to align with business objectives and ensure compliance
• Lead, coach, and support a dedicated accounts payable team while driving individual growth and performance
• Partner closely with Accounting and Finance teams on month-end close activities and GL reconciliations
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate department efficiency and performance
• Manage AP processing during peak periods to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Foster a motivating work environment where team members thrive and grow
• Review and approve payment runs, ensuring documentation is accurate and in line with company policies
• Oversee the preparation and filing of regulatory reports, such as 11099s, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations
• Support international accounts payable inquiries and processes
• Lead initiatives to optimize systems and processes to drive continuous improvement and support the company’s growth
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in finance, procurement, and operations to meet shared financial objectives

 

Leadership & Team Development

 

• Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of accounts payable professionals, empowering them to succeed and advance in their careers
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead the implementation of changes to enhance AP efficiency
• Analyze staffing needs and collaborate with HR to predict recruitment trends
• Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a culture of collaboration and high performance
• Present regular reports to senior management on key accounts payable metrics, including ageing reports, cash flow projections, and vendor performance
• Strategically plan for the growth and development of the cash management team
• Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving financial operations, such as system upgrades, audits, or process improvements

 

What we’re looking for in you:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or accounts payable roles, with at least 2 years of leadership experience
• Proven track record of driving change and continuous improvement, with a passion for innovative thinking
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail
• Collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
