Frequently asked questions

What SLAs can I look for with data center maintenance through Service Express?

Look no further. You have multiple options for your SLAs:

  • 24×7 with four hour on-site response 24/7/365
  • Same Business Day with four hour on-site response Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm
  • Next Business Day with next business day on-site response Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm
  • Custom Option – we work with you to create the best fit for your needs

All SLAs include a 30-minute engineer callback for each new service ticket and local parts inventory using OnDeck® Predictive Sparing®.

Is my End-of-Life (EOL)/End-of-Service-Life (EOSL) equipment eligible for third-party maintenance renewal?

Yes, in most cases. Third-party maintenance extends the life of server, storage and network hardware. EOL and EOSL are OEM terms based on the OEM’s own support timeline, not equipment performance. TPM providers are prepared with quality parts and engineer skills to successfully maintain EOL/EOSL equipment.

Are your engineers qualified to maintain my data center equipment?

Yes – the engineers (primary and secondary) supporting your data center have multi-platform and multi-vendor expertise to maintain your equipment, resolve failures and restore uptime. To keep pace with shifts in technology or in your environment, these engineers attend hands-on training courses to master the skills needed to best support your server, storage or network devices. Technical Smarts that work for you.

What are advantages of third-party maintenance?

Third-party maintenance helps control your data center costs. TPM is typically 30-70% lower than OEM post-warranty support. With third-party maintenance, you can keep your equipment working for 5-7 years longer than the typical OEM refresh cycle for considerable savings to your CapEx budget. TPM coverage flexibility also offers additional savings by allowing you to add or remove coverage according to your changing environment vs. paying for support you no longer require.
