This position will be onsite at our Grand Rapids, MI location! The hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm ET. It will also require being part of on-call rotation, where you will work one weekend every 6 weeks.

 

We are looking to add a Shipping Specialist to our team! This person will coordinate product shipping on existing logistics systems side-by-side with other team members in order to help manage warehousing distribution and customs regulations.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be organized, reliable, have precise attention to detail, and provide excellent customer service. It’s an opportunity to understand how our business affects the other business units within Service Express with the ability to tailor our processes to better serve them.

 

Here’s what this position is all about:

 

• Coordinate all shipments for all locations
• Work with multiple carriers and third-party services. Follow up with delays, rerouting and reporting
• International shipping; follow customs requirements for each country and necessary documentation
• Receive parts into our Distribution Center
• Coordinate Freight, LTL arrangements for pickup, delivery, and relocations
• HAZMAT handling and regulations
• Supplies ordering
• Invoices and payments
• Provide shipping assistance to the purchasing team during on call hours
• Provide outstanding service and support for Service Express field engineers
• Work with leaders and team members to implement new strategies or initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes
